ABCInc: My store at Amazon.com

Wikipedia says a "perfect storm" is an expression that describes an event where a rare combination of circumstances will aggravate a situation drastically.

Now, at age 68, I begin to search for my fortune. Again:

Charting a course to a successful future.

Motivation

I attended a retirement workshop a couple years ago, and the speaker said that the number one fear of retirees is not death, but running out of money.

I gave it a head nod... but it stayed in the back of my mind. Whenever I needed something to worry about, I would dredge up this topic.

Today's future

Of course I'd like to develop A Better Computer, Inc into a profitable company. I'd like to turn it from freelance to an agency.

But I suspect that A Better Computer, Inc will just go away when I die even though the charter would allow it to remain active in perpetuity.

Book: 4-Hour Workweek

I re-discovered the 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss. I've been picking through that pulling motivational phrases and ideas. The bottom line is to find a cash cow, then automate all the processes. Neat idea.

Ferriss's motivational objective is to make it sound easy. And he's pretty successful about that.

SCORE Workshop: Selling on Amazon

About the same time I attended a SCORE workshop about selling on Amazon. The speaker was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and closed with this this admonition:
"Better Done
Than Perfect
 ~ Get Started."

The proverbial light bulb came on as I connected the dots!

  • I want to create and completely automate the sales process
  • Amazon has a completely automated sales process in place where sellers only have to find product. Hmmm...

Google Research

The next place to turn is Google, and the obvious key words are "Selling on Amazon." The results page lit up.

I discovered Jungle Scout and began following the video series Jungle Scout's Million Dollar Case Study:
Jungle Scout (and many other websites I visited) again included the words "I wish I had started sooner."

So, I started
